Hope for Change Through the Counsel of God's Word
Here at Calvary Chapel Clayton, we're committed to counseling based only on Biblical principles rather than secular methods. Biblical Counseling involves the Lord Jesus as Counselor, pointing out His path of discipleship and unfolding His process of growing in Christ Jesus. The goal is eternal life changes, not a temporary "fix" that may only work for a season. We will only and simply point to and disciple people from God's Word and never human advice, wisdom, or opinion. The best thing we can do is give you God's Word rather than our thoughts or opinions.
Biblical Counseling provides hope for change through the counsel of God's Word and the working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christian people. Biblical Counseling is available for any problem you may be facing - marriage, parenting, divorce issues, addictions, disorders, depression, fear, worry, anger, grief, etc. Our counseling is based on God's Truth as found in the Bible.
Understanding that the Bible is the final authority for our faith and life removes any confusion concerning life's issues. Once we accept the Bible as God's Word, we then have the greatest foundation for direction and guidance. Following its precepts leads us to spiritual maturity. Then, we can live a life pleasing to God. Therefore, when we are blown off course, God's Word corrects us, instructs us, and guides us back on course. God's wisdom from above equips us to face any crises and enables us to help others who experience difficult circumstances.
You are assured of a confidential, caring, encouraging response to your difficult situation. A Calvary Chapel Pastor or Leader will listen to you, pray with you, and offer guidance and encouragement. Speaking the truth in love, we will help you be accountable to the Biblical path that leads to healing.
"Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established" - Proverbs 15:22
