Holy Hikers
The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
Habakkuk 3:19
The Holy Hikers go on trail hikes to refresh and grow closer to our Creator and one another. It’s a time of corporate prayer, worship, and sharing of scripture on the trail. The Holy Hikers is open to all ages and all experience levels.
Hikes may include traversing uneven terrain; with small obstacles like rocks, tree roots, natural stairs, creek crossings, and up/down slopes. Trail descriptions will be provided. Trails will generally be rated as easy or moderate. Hike ranges usually are between 5 to 10 miles. Turnaround points will be available throughout the hike if you need to leave early.
Small children are welcome but may need to be packed. It would be best if you were physically capable of walking on uneven terrain.
Safety Notes: Bring plenty of water and snacks. Use good outdoor activity shoes, preferably with ankle support are suggested. Hiking boots aren’t mandatory but are usually better. Bring any medication or allergy kits you may need. A small backpack or day pack is recommended. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Bug repellent is a good idea. Bring your phone, but there will be some areas where cell phone coverage isn’t available. Check "The Holy Hikers" messaging group on our Church App for weather cancellations or notes.
