Calvary Youth
Growing together.
Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.
The Calvary Youth group for high school and middle school students is essential to Calvary Chapel's ministry. We aim to ignite a passion in the young adults of Calvary Chapel Clayton to start living for Jesus Christ at this stage of their lives instead of waiting until later in life. We delve into the Bible together, exploring it verse-by-verse with strong biblical teaching, and regularly hold events. Our youth group gatherings coincide with the main services, occurring both on Sunday mornings during the 10am service and Wednesday evenings at the 7pm service (except during Family Service - see below).
Sunday Mornings: Our Middle and High Schoolers are split up for Bible Study. They worship together, but for Bible Study, Middle Schoolers will be dismissed after worship to a separate room for their teaching. High Schoolers will remain in the Youth Room for their teaching. We do have separate small groups and discipleship for High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers. Some of the big events they do together, like retreats and conferences.
Wednesday Nights: Both Middle and High School students join together for Bible study. On Wednesday Nights we meet at 6 pm for HANGTIME. This is a time for youth to hang out and connect, eat pizza, and play games together before service begins at 7 pm.
Youth have the opportunity to attend Retreats and Conferences every year. Along with Outreaches, Missions Trips and more!
What is Family Service? Family Service, held on the first Sunday and Wednesday of each month, is tailored for families with middle and high school students. Instead of a separate youth service, students are encouraged to join their parents in the main service. On other Sundays and Wednesdays, the Youth Group gathers concurrently with the main service. For those with younger children, Calvary Kids is recommended, providing a suitable environment for ministry to kids while allowing adults to engage in the main service, focused on worship and Bible teaching, in an atmosphere free of distractions.
